Altiverse Adventures — Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the Traveller

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through Altiverse Adventures’ official communication channels.

Under no circumstances will cash refunds be issued.

Where applicable, Altiverse Adventures will issue a credit note only for the recoverable portion of the booking after deducting non-refundable components such as airfare, visa fees, special deposits, insurance, taxes, or any other supplier-imposed charges.

All cancellation charges are final and non-negotiable and remain applicable in cases of:

  • Visa rejection
  • No-shows or late cancellations
  • Incomplete documentation
  • Medical or personal emergencies
  • Medical or personal emergencies

Altiverse Adventures is not responsible for the refund or recovery of fees charged by third-party vendors, consulates, airlines, hotels, or local authorities.

2. Domestic Getaways — Cancellation Schedule (Short-Haul Packages)

  • At the time of booking:
    Booking advance (25% of the total tour cost) is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Within 30 days prior to departure:
    Minimum deduction of 50% of the total tour cost, or actual vendor charges — whichever is higher.
  • Within 21-29 days prior to departure:
    Minimum deduction of 75% of the total tour cost, or actual vendor charges — whichever is higher.
  • 20 days or less prior to departure:
    100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.

3. International Getaways — Cancellation Schedule (Long-Haul Packages)

  • At the time of booking:
    Booking advance (INR15,000) is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Within 30 days prior to departure:
    Minimum deduction of 50% of the total tour cost, or actual vendor charges — whichever is higher.
  • Within 21-29 days prior to departure:
    Minimum deduction of 75% of the total tour cost, or actual vendor charges — whichever is higher.

  • 20 days or less prior to departure:
    100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.

4. Cancellation by Altiverse Adventures

While Altiverse Adventures strives to deliver reliable and seamless travel experiences, unforeseen operational, environmental, or external factors may require a tour to be altered, rescheduled, or cancelled. In such cases:

  • Altiverse Adventures shall not be liable for any indirect travel arrangements such as flights, visas, insurance, or internal transfers affected by such changes.
  • Any assistance provided for flights or visa coordination is handled by third-party providers and is typically non-refundable.
  • Expenses related to flights, visas, insurance, or similar services—whether booked through Altiverse Adventures or independently—will not be reimbursed in the event of itinerary changes or cancellations.
  • We will make every effort to provide timely notice about any changes to help travellers plan accordingly.
  • Where possible, we may help coordinate alternative travel arrangements.
  • A credit note or partial refund may be issued strictly as per vendor refund policies and timelines.

Force Majeure

In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, government restrictions, or any situation beyond our control, Altiverse Adventures may be required to modify or cancel the itinerary.

Refunds or credit notes in such cases depend entirely on vendor policies.

No refunds will be issued for indirect travel services affected by Force Majeure.
